Navigating life's storms with personal, professional service
AV Preeminent Attorney Peer Rated for the Highest Level of Professional Excellence
Please allow me to introduce myself. I am a native Floridian born and raised in the Daytona Beach area where I developed a love of the ocean and motorcycles. Daytona is a historic racing town after all. I now call home the Greater Pensacola area that stretches from the beautiful scenic Gulf Islands National Seashore, home to historic Fort Pickens, to the emerald coast of Destin. However, I am well traveled after following my husband's military career in the United States Air Force for 21 years and have a great deal of knowledge regarding military life and benefits. My husband and I live in Gulf Breeze and have three sons who provide us with many outdoor adventures and much negotiation practice. When I have free time, my husband and I enjoy motorcycle riding and scuba diving together.

WHAT TO EXPECT
You can expect to receive my personal commitment and attention to you. When you call my office, I will personally speak with you for about 5 to 10 minutes to establish whether I can help you, if needed. After the initial telephone call, I will schedule an initial consultation with you to meet in my office. In order to facilitate the initial consultation, you should prepare a narrative, list of questions, concerns and goals, as well as copies of any relevant documents. All of this information should be provided to me prior to the initial consultation.
For further services beyond the initial consultation, a written agreement describing the scope of representation and the retainer fee and cost deposit required will be prepared and provided to you. Please note that I meet with clients by appointment only. You should call my office before dropping in to ensure that someone is available to assist you. However, you may drop off documents to me anytime Monday through Friday in the drop box located outside the front door of my office.
Generally, office hours are Mondays through Thursdays 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Fridays 8:30 a.m. until noon. I or my staff will attempt to return your call the same day or within 24 to 72 hours.
EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS
I am happy to communicate with you by email. PLEASE NOTE INFORMATION COMMUNICATED BEFORE I REPRESENT YOU MAY NOT PRIVILEGED AND CONFIDENTIAL. If I already represent you, PLEASE REFRAIN from emailing confidential or sensitive information unless adequately encrypted. EMAIL OR OTHER COMMUNICATION WITH THIS FIRM, IN ITSELF, DOES NOT CREATE AN ATTORNEY-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP.
BILLING PRACTICES
I offer free initial consultations for 30 minutes only for certain matters, all additional time charged at usual rates. I also offer fixed fee rates, plus court filing fees and other administrative costs for certain types of matters. Please inquire.
For all other matters, I will bill you at my hourly billable rate and I will require a retainer fee, plus an additional cost deposit for court and administrative costs to begin working on your case.
HOW YOU CAN HELP KEEP YOUR FEES AND COSTS DOWN
Clear, concise communication is the key to keeping your fees as reasonable as possible. Please communicate any facts, documents or circumstances related to your case whether or not you think it is essential or unimportant. In addition, you can help keep your fees and costs down on your case by providing me with organized and concise information. You can bring copies of documents to me that are organized with your own personal notes of explanation for the documents provided. If, however, you provide me with a stack of documents that I need to organize and copy, you will be billed for me to do this for you. If you email me separately on three occasions over the course of the week with separate issues, you could double the amount of time needed to address your concerns. However, if, on the other hand, those questions were combined into a single email, this allows me to quickly and efficiently respond to your concerns. Of course, there will be occasions where frequent communication is necessary under the facts of your case. Please remember that when we are working on your file we are billing you for our time and attention to your file.
